Let’s take a look at the world of Multiplayer Online Battle Arenas (MOBAs). What do we see? We see a genre of games that has been in constant evolution ever since its first appearance as a map in Starcraft, which later inspired IceFrog to develop Defense of the Ancients (DotA). In the past few years, we have seen a number of DotA-like games entering the gaming landscape; like Heroes of Newerth a... more. -

If you ever thought Portal was the pinnacle in the genre of puzzle games… then you were right. But Warp is one of those games that came closest to dethroning Portal from its coveted ‘Best Puzzle game spot’. And why wouldn’t it? It’s oddly cute and sufficiently challenging to the human mind, plus, it’s incredibly fun to play. Now let’s take a deeper look into the game and see what... more. -
Stacking: The Adventure – Game Review

Double Fine, the very same developing studio that came up with Psychonauts and Brutal Legends, has now come up with a new, and rather innovative, puzzle game that’s guaranteed to make you feel like a chimp with alphabet blocks when you’re solving them, and like Stephen Hawking once you do! The hero in the game, Charlie Blackmore, is the smallest in a poor family of Matryoshka dolls. Thi... more. -
Mass Effect 3 Review

It’s here! Oh, it’s finally here! After months of waiting and incessant nail biting, the game we’ve all been waiting for is finally here. ‘Mass Effect 3’ has finally hit the shelves! And frankly, after all this hype, the game had better live up to its god-like expectations. But for some reason I don’t doubt that a lot; partially because I’ve already played quite a bit of the game, ... more. -
DOTA VS LOL:Why League of Legends is better (Confession by an Elite)

I recently did a cumulative review about the different MOBAs and how each game differed from the other, briefly stating their pros and cons. At almost about the same time (as if it were destiny), an elitist DotA player, Dave Bast, published his confession about the two most competitive MOBAs, namely DotA and League of Legends, in which he states that the latter takes the cake. Here is his doom... more. -
Synergy Mod for Half-Life 2 Review

We are all familiar with the legendary (yet seemingly mute) Gordon Freeman, and even more so with the game he represents, namely, Half-Life. Half-Life is one of the most iconic games of the 21st century, so much so that it has spent the best part of the decade at the top spot of most ‘Best PC Games of all time’ lists. The eerie atmosphere and the gripping storyline of this masterpiec... more. -

The fight never stops in hell, and this time you are fighting for the freedom of your soul! Well the good part about this is that you get to slay a lot of majorly annoying demons. The bad part is they will probably scare the crap out of you before. Do you think you have what it takes to escape Hell? No? What are you talking about? You’re Painkiller; you’ve been doing this for years now.... more. -
Assassin’s Creed III: What we can expect from Ubisoft this time

It’s fair to assume that most of us already played or definitely at least heard of Assassin’s Creed. And some of us are far too familiar with Altair, Ezio and their medieval shenanigans. After four games, each getting a slightly more repetitive than the last, Ubisoft has already announced the fifth, and supposedly the last (don’t think I don’t hear those sighs of relief!) installment to th... more. -

I know this doesn't look like much, but that right there is a Radeon HD 6990. War of the MOBAs: DotA, DotA 2, League of Legends or Heroes of Newerth

IceFrog did a number on the gaming world when he came up with Defense of the Ancients, a game that appealed to as many people as those who still play the game today. But now a few other developers decided to clamber onto the MOBA(or Real Time Action Strategy-RTAs) bandwagon themselves, namely; Heroes of Newerth League of Legends Valve's Dota 2 (a development to the already existing War... more.
